Today, the North Central Provincial Council has started a pilot project to provide nursing courses geared towards foreign employment at the Provincial Council level.
Governor Mahipala Herath, Labor and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, and State Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion Jagath Pushpakumara have all taken part in this initiative.
The Provincial Councils have resources at their disposal, and with the help of all provincial governors and senior officials, steps are being taken to create courses that will produce skilled workers for foreign employment.
If the pilot project is successful, it will be implemented in all other provincial councils. Moreover, the course content in each council will vary, such as specialized training courses related to the fishing industry in the Southern Province and courses for the agricultural industry in the Norther Central Province.
This project will be managed on a national scale with the State Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion at its helm. – SLBFE
