Nations Trust Bank PLC has announced the appointment of Ms Rozanie Sherin Cader as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, with effect from 1st May, 2023. Ms Cader will take over as the Chairperson upon the retirement of Mr Gihan Cooray who will be stepping down on 30th April 2023 after having served the stipulated maximum 9 year tenure as a Director of Nations Trust Bank PLC. Ms Cader was appointed to the Board of Nations Trust Bank PLC on 15th December 2018.
Ms Cader is the Chief Financial Officer of the Financial Services industry group of John Keells Holdings PLC. She has been with the John Keells Group since 1998, serving in many capacities across multiple sectors. She has played diverse roles across finance and operations in the Financial Services sector, the IT Enabled Services sector and JKH Centre functions. She functioned as the Financial Controller at John Keells Holdings PLC from 2009 to 2012. Subsequently she took on the role of General Manager – Finance and Planning at Union Assurance PLC until her current role within the Financial Services industry group of JKH as CFO. She also serves on the Boards of John Keells Stock Brokers (Pvt) Ltd, Waldock Mackenzie Limited and Allied Properties Limited. She is currently the Chairperson of the Board Supervisory Committee and a member of the Integrated Risk Management Committee and the Board Audit Review Committee of the Bank.
Ms Cader is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK, and a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK. She is also SAP Certified in Managerial and Financial Accounting.
