The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) announced that 47,353 tourists have visited Sri Lanka between January 01 and January 15, 2023. Of these, the largest number came from Russia (12,064), followed by India (5,838), Germany (3,945), the UK (3,862) and France (2,241).
The SLTDA Chairman, Priyantha Fernando, expects the country to welcome a total of 105,000 tourists by the end of the month.
