The Seethawaka Odyssey, a luxury tourist train, embarked on its inaugural journey today, providing a new way for visitors to explore the historical Seethawaka kingdom. The train, which began its journey from Colombo Fort Railway Station, was officially launched by the Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena.
The service, which operates on weekends, aims to increase the popularity of Seethawaka among both local and international tourists. In collaboration with the Western Provincial Tourism Board, a special program has been organized for those traveling on the train, which includes stops at various tourist attractions in the area.
The journey was also attended by Members of Parliament, local government representatives, railway officials, ministry officials, and a group of foreign tourists. Book your tour
