General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Condition of Rain: Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places over the sea areas around the island.
Winds: Winds will be South-westerly in the sea areas around the island and wind speed will be (25-35) kmph. The wind speed can be increased up to (40-50) kmph at times in the sea areas extending from Matara to Batticaloa via Hambantota and Pottuvil and the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Kankasanturai via Mannar.
State of Sea: The sea areas extending from Matara to Batticaloa via Hambantota, Pottuvil can be fairly rough at times.
