SriLankan Engineering, the aircraft Maintenance-Repair-Overhaul (MRO) arm of Sri Lanka’s national carrier, has launched the third party maintenance services at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) with its oneworld Alliance travel companion Qatar Airways.
Certification commenced at the MRIA station with an A321 Narrow Body Aircraft Registration A7-AID on the 24th of July 2021, strengthening SriLankan Engineering’s stance as a key provider of maintenance and engineering services, the airline said in a statement.
This marks a new beginning for the MRIA station as it hopes to move forward and expand its certification services based on customer requirements, SriLankan Airlines said.
SriLankan Engineering holds certifications from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to carry out Base Maintenance operations on aircraft of the Airbus A320 and A330 families as per EASA Part-145 specifications. It also possesses EASA certifications for its Line Maintenance and Engineering Workshops, and carries out EASA certified Training.
