Another 386 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Sri Lanka, bringing the overall number of new cases to 1,566 per day, according to the Health Ministry’s Epidemiology Unit.
This raises the overall number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 289,539, according to the CDC.
Since the onset of the pandemic, there have been 263,758 confirmed recoveries and 3,917 confirmed deaths in Sri Lanka.
According to data from the Epidemiology Unit, there are presently 21,911 active cases requiring medical attention.
Update on Covid Deaths
Sri Lanka’s Director General of Health Services revealed on Friday that there have been 47 more COVID-19-related deaths (July 21).
The number of people who have died as a result of the Ebola outbreak in Sri Lanka has now risen to 3,917.
The newest victims verified today, according to data supplied by the Department of Government Information, are 26 males and 21 girls.
According to reports, the victims include 10 men and 4 women aged 30 to 59 years old, as well as 16 men and 17 women aged 60 and up.
Another 930 COVID-19 patients have been discharged, according to the Ministry of Health, after completing their treatment.
