Weather: Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Western, Central, Uva and Eastern provinces during the evening or night. Fairly heavy falls above 75 mm can be expected at some places.
A few showers can be expected in the coastal areas of Western province and Galle and Matara districts in the morning too.
Fairly strong gusty winds up to 40 kmph can be expected in Northern and North-Central provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers

Condition of Rain:
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Pottuvil via Galle and Hambantota.
Winds:
Winds will be south-westerly in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (30-40) kmph and it can increase up to 50 kmph in the sea areas extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota and in the sea area extending from Puttalam to Kankasanturai via Mannar. Wind speed will be (25-35) kmph in other sea areas.
State of Sea:
The sea areas extending from Galle to Potuvil via Hambantota can be rough at times.
Temporarily strong gusty winds (up to 70-80 kmph) and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers. – Meteo
