The Sri Lanka Air Force and the Eagles’ Golf Links will host the Commander’s Cup – 2021, Annual Golf Tournament for Men and Women from 22 to 24 January 2021, at the picturesque settings of China Bay, close to the Harbour City of Trincomalee.
The Championship is organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force for the eighth occasion under the guidance of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana. This golf tournament has attracted over 70 local and foreign Golfers and enthusiasts of the game. In addition to the Commander’s Cup, the golfers will also vie for the Eagles’ Challenge Trophy which is awarded to the best serving player from the Tri Forces in Men’s and Women’s categories, respectively. The tournament will conclude with a grand Awards Ceremony scheduled to be held on the eve of 23 January 2021.
This year the Commander’s Cup is powered by Dialog Enterprise as the Main Sponsor. A Press Conference was held today (12 January 2021) at Air Force Headquarters in order to inform the general public of the up coming Commander’s Cup – 2021. The panel which conducted the conference was headed by the Chairman of SLAF Golf, Air Commodore Prasanna Ranasinghe. He was accompanied by Mr. Navin Peiris, Vice President – Enterprise Business & Large Enterprise Sales -Dialog Axiata PLC, Mr. Roshan Silva, General Manager -Large Enterprise – Dialog Axiata PLC representing the main sponsors, Squadron Leader Radhika Ranaweera, the Secretary Air Force Eagles’ Golf Links and Courses and Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe, the Director Media of the Air Force.
