A meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, is scheduled to take place today at 2.00 pm (13).
As some MPs are confirmed to have contracted COVID-19, particular attention will be given to the holding of next week’s Parliamentary session.
Meanwhile, from 10 am to 3 pm today, the health authorities are expected to perform PCR tests in Parliament.
According to the Parliament’s Correspondence Division, PCR research will also be performed in Parliament on 15 January.
Members of Parliament may thus have a PCR test conducted on any of the dates listed above.
