As per an order from the Colombo High Court, reporters said the overseas travel ban on former Minister Basil Rajapaksa has been lifted.
The case against Basil Rajapaksa, the former Minister of Economic Affairs, and three others, over the misappropriation of ‘Divi Neguma’ funds, was brought before Judge R. Gurusinghe of the High Court today (23).
Appearing on behalf of Basil Rajapaksa, President’s Counsel Gamini Marapana claimed that his client wants to go on official business abroad as he chairs a Task Force Committee on Economy named by the President.
