Taking into account the prevailing situation in the country, Sri Lanka Railways has decided that all but special trains for G.C.E. Advanced Level candidates will not stop at railway stations in areas where curfew is in effect.
Passengers would also not be boarded and disembarked at the Dematagoda and Maradana railway stations, said Deputy General Manager of Railways V.S. Polwattage.
In the meantime, trains running on the coast line will not stop at the railway stations between Katukurunda and Bentota.
However, trains specially arranged for G.C.E A / L examiners will stop at the railway stations referred to above. These trains will be in service from 11 October to 6 November.
