Business News: Two lucky Commercial Bank Credit Card holders have won cash to the equivalent of a holiday in Singapore by opting for electronic statements instead of the printed monthly statements.
Messrs Y. W. George Amila Yatanwala and H. B. Ararchchige Darshana Maduranga were drawn from a large number of Commercial Bank cardholders who responded to a promotion by the Bank to encourage conversion to e-statements for convenience and to support the Bank’s efforts to minimize paper use.
The grand prizes of two tour packages to Singapore inclusive of return air tickets, hotel accommodation with bed and breakfast and airport transfers were converted to cash with the consent of the winners in view of the travel restrictions in place due to the pandemic.
