Business News: Sri Lankan Airlines, Sri Lankan’s national carrier, is planning to start scheduled flights by June 1, says Chairman Ashok Pathirage.
“We ‘re working with the airport and aviation services to resume our scheduled flights by 1 June,” said Pathirage in an online forum organized by Sri Lanka ‘s National Chamber of Commerce”.
He said the airline is ready but it is up to the government and health authorities to decide on a daily schedule when to reboot the operation.
SriLankan canceled scheduled flights as international airports closed due to danger of Coronavirus and restrictions imposed.
Pathirage said the airport would open slowly. India had allowed domestic flights to resume.
