Local News: An ‘exit strategy’ for the existing curfew could be enforced for many districts in the low-risk zone by the end of April if the country continues to enforce the new Covid-19 preventive measures in a proper manner, said Health Services Director-General Dr Anil Jasinghe.
Dr. Jasinghe said during a TV programme, the government is currently discussing the steps that could be introduced while working out an exit strategy for the present curfew situation. Also if the lockdown is to be relaxed in some places in the future, Dr. Jasinghe warned that to avoid Covid-19 spread, people need to maintain good social distancing strategies.
Meanwhile, he also wished the Sri Lankans a very happy and safe New Year and urged the people inside the family to follow New Year rituals. Dr. Jasinghe emphasized that people should refrain from visiting family members, exchanging gifts and restricting family gatherings.
