Business News Update: The website of premier financial institution HNB Finance garnered major international recognition when it claimed silver in the Financial Services category at the prestigious W3 Awards ceremony, held in the United States.
The W³ Awards honour digital excellence by feting exceptional websites, web marketing, video creation, mobile sites and apps as well as social content formulated by the world’s best interactive agencies, designers and creators.
The nominees in each category endure a thorough assessment, with website entries scrutinised for creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design and ease of use.
The entire judging process is conducted by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an eminent collective of professionals from acclaimed media, interactive, advertising and marketing firms. AIVA members include top-tier executives from organisations such as Conde Nast, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Microsoft, Yahoo!, MTV Networks, Polo Ralph Lauren, the Sotheby’s Institute of Art and Wired.
The event’s award-winners featured multiple Fortune 500 corporations. This is why merely being nominated for such an award is considered a grand feather in a firm’s cap.
“We are extremely humbled to have received such high praise for our digital domain. Our website has been designed with careful consideration paid to design sensibility and customer usability. This ensures that visitors to our site are able to easily access relevant information with a few clicks while learning about new products and other fresh developments at HNB Finance,” said HNB Finance Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Chaminda Prabhath.
This newest accolade is the latest stride in a prolific run on the awards circuit which has seen HNB Finance walk home with several major international titles, including the top prize for the Best CSR Finance Company in Sri Lanka at the International Business Magazine Awards in Dubai and a Gold Award at the 8th ACEF Asian Leaders Forum and Awards in India.
