Minister Amaraweera visited the RMV Werahera branch yesterday to participate in the progress review meeting and spoke to many people who had come there to receive the services of the RMV. They told the Minster that after the sudden visit of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, work at the RMV branch has now been accelerated.
Therefore, driver’s licenses will now be issued in just two hours if the paperwork has been done correctly. In addition, once the driving license is ready, the license holder receives an SMS on his or her mobile phone. The minister also instructed officials in the Werahera branch to carry out all the instructions given by the president during his visit. He also said that no customer who is in the queue should be given priority and the service should be delivered according to the number of tokens issued to customers.
