Business News from Sri Lanka: The Investment Board of Sri Lanka has signed a supplementary agreement with the Kingsbury PLC to extend and renovate the hotel at Colombo 1. The agreement was signed on behalf of the company by BOI Chairman Mangala Yapa and Managing Director Rohan Karr, Hayleys Leisure Group.
The Easter Sunday bombing caused extensive damage to the restaurants at the Kingsbury Hotel. “Our property is currently undergoing a total transformation with redesigned spaces and will soon be ready to offer our guests, unparalleled and unique dining experiences like never before,” Rohan Karr stated.
“We will re-launch all outlets once the refurbishments are completed, just in time for when the industry will be reviving.”
The Kingsbury is the crown jewel of the leisure sector of Sri Lanka’s leading conglomerate, Hayley’s and was the first hotel to be reinstated as a five-star hotel in Colombo in 2017.
