In 2018, Lanka gained Rs.35,000 million from exports to Cinnamon

By exporting 17,500 metric tons of cinnamon last year, Sri Lanka gained Rs.35,000 million in foreign exchange. This is the biggest stock of cinnamon produced in the history of cinnamon trade during a single year, said Dr. A. P. Heenkanda, Director General of Export Agriculture. He said this is a 13 percent increase when compared to exports made in 2017.
