255 cases suspected COVID-19 under observation – Dr. Anil Jayasinha

Local News: Dr. Anil Jayasinha, Health Services Director-General reported that as of today evening there were 255 individuals suspected of having COVID-19 on observation in the country.

“There are 255 people suspected of contracting the virus who are under the care and vigilance of health officials,” he said.

He also said there are 1600 people who were confined to self-quratine controls. “These people had recently arrived from overseas, they were monitored on arrival at the airport and are said to be in self-quratine.” Meanwhile, he said there are almost 900 foreigners in various hotels in the Kalutara district. He asked those individuals to remain indoors for this period’s time.
