Second batch quarantine process leaves home

Local News: The Army said the second batch of 201 persons, quarantined in Kandakadu and Punani quarantine centers left for their homes this morning. They also said the Army would provide all transportation facilities for this second batch, too.

The first batch of 311 returnees quarantined in Army-managed Quarantine Centers for two weeks, yesterday left in 11 buses for their homes in Matara, Kandy and Colombo districts, along with six trucks carrying their luggage.

Similarly, in the specially set up QC at Milady, those 17 persons identified from Jaffna district suspected of having contracted COVID-19 are now under quarantine.

Meanwhile, in 47 Quarantine Centres, a total of 3224 people, including 31 foreigners, are still under quarantine.
