Neville Fernando and Castle Street Hospitals ready to treat pregnant mothers

Local News: Neville Fernando Hospital in Malabe and Borella Castle Street Hospital are to be used to treat pregnant mothers who are suspected of having contracted the Coronavirus, said Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe.

Dr. Jasinghe noted that all care for these pregnant mothers should be under the supervision of a specialist physician.

The Homagama Base Hospital was also prepared to treat for those infected with the Coronavirus, and the Voice of America building complex was renovated with the help of the staff of the Sri Lankan Army and prepared for patient treatment.

Meanwhile, Kothalawala Defense University Hospital’s 30-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has also been equipped to care for patients with Coronavirus infection.

The Mulleriyawa Hospital has now been refurbished and equipped to care for the sick.
