Police places two robots for drugs and explosives detection at Katunayake International Airport

Local News from Sri Lanka: For the first time in its history, the Police Narcotics Bureau deployed two new robots at the Katunayake International Airport. The two robots are deployed at the departure and arrival terminals at the airport, according to police reports. This measure was taken to ensure that baggage and other equipment in the vicinity were carefully inspected.

Each of these robots is worth Rs. 80 million, and the Chinese government has donated them. The robots also have an explosive detection system.
