KDU ‘Open Day’ draws large crowd

Local News from Sri Lanka: The General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) in Ratmalana, had its annual ‘Open Day’, today (06 October). A large number of the youngster and others attended the Open Day which was held with the aim to give an idea of the university, the courses offered and other benefits the students who expect to follow their higher studies at this premier seat of learning.

The Open Day was declared open by Vice Chancellor Air Vice Marshal HMSKB Kotakadeniya.

The full-day event provided prospective students a good opportunity to know about the university and the courses offered in the fields of Defence Studies and Strategic Studies, Engineering, Law, Management, Social Sciences, Medicine, Computing, Allied Health Sciences, Built Environment and Spatial Sciences and Research and Development.

Brigadier WMAKP Thilakarathna , Deputy Vice Chancellor Brigadier N Hathurusinghe, Brigadier RGU Rajapakshe, Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor Peofessor MHJ Ariyarathne, university officials and members of the staff also were present at the occasion.
