CEAT Racing Car Team Champions at Walawa Supercross

Sports News from Sri Lanka: The CEAT Racing Team clinched its second Car Team Championship on September 22nd at the Walawa Supercross organized by the Sri Lankan Army Regiment of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) in three weeks, continuing its 2019 racing season hi-octane performance.

Ushan Perera of the team was awarded the Walawa Supercross Champion Driver and Malika Kuruwitaarachchi took the Car Team Championship with a teammate after Ushan Perera won the SLGT Super Car Race 2 and finished third in the SLGT Super Car Race 1 and Malika Kuruwitaarachchi won the Subaru Legacy event.

The CEAT Racing Team had eight podium finishes, with Jacques Gunewardena winning the MX 250cc Race 1 and finishing second in Race 2, Upulwan Serasinghe winning the Ford Laser 1300cc event and finishing fifth in the Ford Laser 1500cc event, and Colonel Duminda Jayasinghe finishing second in the SLH 1600cc case.

At the Saliyapura circuit in Anuradhapura, the CEAT Racing Team also dominated the Gajaba Supercross earlier in September, winning the Car and Bike team championships.
