Sri Lanka won by 37 runs against New Zealand

Sports News from Sri Lanka:  Sri Lankan skipper Lasith Malinga wreaked havoc with one yorker after another on New Zealand batsmen to assist his squad in a low-scoring affair come out on top.

A double hat-trick from Malinga broke Kiwi’s batting lineup back. He began with Colin Munro followed by Hamish Rutherford, Colin de Grandhomme and Ross Taylor who had registered golden duck. He was also the first bowler to take 100 wickets from the T20I. The quick bowler received a fifer and ended with bowling statistics–5 for 6 in four overs as 37 runs won the game in Sri Lanka.

Chasing a small total of 126, New Zealand’s hopes were reignited by the power-hitting of Tim Southee, but a miracle could not be pulled out by the 10th wicket partnership.
