Ms. Swaraj, who served five years as foreign minister, suffered a heart arrest on Tuesday, said India’s Press Trust. She was a famous minister as prime minister in the first term of Narendra Modi, but previously this year she did not contest parliamentary elections.
By reacting to them on Twitter, she became known to help Indians stuck overseas. Ms Swaraj, 67, had a bad health condition and in 2016 had a kidney transplant. The news of her death prompted an outpouring of grief and condolences from fellow politicians as well as from the worldwide Indians.
