The State Minister of Finance, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, confirmed that the government is expediting the payment of April salaries, pensions, and benefits, including Samurdhi allowances, for public servants before 10 April.
Addressing the media in Kegalle, Siyambalapitiya revealed that this decision was made to accommodate the upcoming Sinhalese and Tamil New Year festival. He added that the President has instructed officials to implement these measures swiftly.
