The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms decided to postpone the second reading debate of the Regulation of Election Expenditure Bill by one months’ time on request made by Hon. Members of Parliament present.
At yesterday’s (Jan. 17) meeting of the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms, chaired by Minister Hon. (Dr.) Wijayadasa Rajapakshe, the decision to postpone the second reading debate of the Regulation of Election Expenditure Bill by one month was taken upon request from Hon. Members of Parliament present. The committee also approved the debate on the second reading of the Bureau of Rehabilitation Bill, with relevant amendments considered, which will be taken up for debate today (18th Jan).

Manjula Dissanayake, Hon. Upul Mahendra and officials representing the respective institutions were present at the Committee meeting.
