Udaya Gammanpila, the Minister of Energy, claims that there is currently no fuel scarcity in Sri Lanka.
The minister told to a TV program this morning that the country had enough diesel and petrol for 22 days and 18 days, respectively.
He stated that another shipment of petrol is likely to arrive in Sri Lanka next week.
Minister Gammanpila also tweeted on the situation, adding that if there was a fuel scarcity in the country, he would have alerted the people.
NO FUEL SHORTAGE.
I have repeatedly stated that if there was a fuel shortage, I would have told the nation before anybody else. I have always been truthful to the people and informed in advance about the price hike. The first to announce about the foreign currency crisis.
