Weather: Showers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa province and in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts
Several spells of showers will occur in Western province and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa district after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds up to (40-50) kmph can be expected in the western slope of central hills, North-Central and North-Western provinces and in Hambantota and trincomalee districts.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Condition of Rain: Showers will occur at several places in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo, Galle and Matara.
Winds: Winds will be westerly to south-westerly in the sea areas around the island and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph. The wind speed can be increased up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota and the wind speed can be increased up to 50 kmph at times in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo.
