The programme understands that education is a key driver of sustainable development in Sri Lanka and is aligned to UN Sustainable Development Goals which aims to ‘ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all’.

Commenting on the programme, Prabhath Dahanayake, Chief Marketing Officer/SLT said, “We are committed to driving sustainable development and making a positive impact among communities. Our ‘Hithak Athnam Pothak Denna’ programme is targeted at promoting a reading culture and empowering the next generation through knowledge acquisition and retention. With education as the bedrock of any nation’s development, our book donation programme invests in accessible learning.”
