The Attorney General has advised to appoint a committee for the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket until new officers are appointed from the next election.
The Attorney General has also informed that the term of office of the former officers ended on the 20th of February.
Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa had forwarded to the Attorney General the protest made by the Colts Cricket Club that it was illegal for the former staff to continue their work.
In response, the Attorney General has informed the Minister of Sports of this decision.
The election for the post of Sri Lanka Cricket is scheduled to be held on May 20, 2021.
