Dr. Gayan Danthanarayana (31) a medical officer attached to Ragama Colombo North Teaching Hospital was infected with COVID-19 has fallen victim to the virus.
He was under medical care for new coronavirus infections at the Teaching Hospital in Karapitiya, according to reports.
He is the first medical officer to pass away from COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.
