Stripes & Checks, acclaimed as Sri Lanka’s most prestigious start up with a desire to provide an expression of each person’s unique sense of style, recently opened its flagship store at No 202, Havelock Road, Colombo 05.

The expansive 1500 sq ft showroom is designed to welcome its enthusiastic customers all year-round with an array of stylish, expertly tailored, bespoke shirts among a host of other signature trends for men who have an innate passion for fashion and value the idea of dressing well.

Starting the journey with customised tailoring solutions, Stripes & Checks beckons you to explore its wide range; specifically designed for any occasion. Customers are given choice and value for money through a wide range of fabrics and designs starting at 2,300/-.

Having identified a niche category, the designers have paid meticulous attention to detail in customising tailored-shirts available on premium offer in addition to the ready-to-wear range of shirts, Polo shirts, Chino Pants and Chino Shorts.

With a distinctive flair and eye for fashion, the designers have given the imported fabrics from reputed shirting mills from China, Hong Kong and India a local twist by differentiating through design. While the custom-tailored shirts are priced at Rs. 4000/- onwards, the ready-to-wear shirts start from Rs. 2300/-

Customised to perfection is an offer available for customers who wish to portray their individuality through the bespoke custom-made shirts. With over one hundred fabrics which are ethically sourced from reputed shirting mills and include 100% Egyptian Giza cotton, cotton blends and premium linens, Stripes & Checks is able to customise every aspect of a shirt. The options available for customising a shirt include a variety of embellishments such as collars, cuffs, plackets and buttons. You can even add a personal touch with a monogram in a colour of your choice.

“Our aim through Stripes & Checks is to build a globally accepted brand which is deeply rooted in the unique appeal of our Motherland, Sri Lanka. We are a destination recognised for apparel manufacturing but have yet to create an apparel brand with a global presence. We are determined to achieve this goal by presenting a product on par with international standards. Hence our product focus is on quality, design, fit and affordability,” said Gajan Vinothan, Co-Founder and CEO of the locally spawned and globally envisioned brand”.

The management assures its customers of safety as extensive precautionary measures, adhering to government directives will be followed throughout the shopping experience.
