New Inspector General of Police (IGP) C.D. Wickramaratne has called on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at his official residence in Wijerama this morning.
Issuing a statement, the Office of the Prime Minister said Premier Rajapaksa congratulated the new IGP and inquired into the country’s security situation and the current situation of the Police.
IGP Wickramaratne also pledged to strengthen the Sri Lanka Police and fulfil his national responsibility.
