Local News: The police said that all pharmacies and outlets for essential items in areas where quarantine curfew is in place will remain closed for three days from today (13).
Legal action will be sought against those who violate the order by running their businesses, the Police noted.
A quarantine curfew was imposed on 18 police divisions in the districts of Gampaha and Divulapitiya, Ja-Ela, Kandana and Seeduwa until further notice.
Sathosa shops, pharmacies, supermarkets, fish markets and other vital goods stores in curfew areas have previously been able to remain open until 8 p.m.
However, until Thursday (15) the decision was made to close the pharmacies and the outlets for vital products in these areas.
