Local News: Former parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera says he’ll consider assuming leadership of the United National Party (UNP) if he’s asked to accept the role.
Samaraweera further pointed out that he had never withdrawn membership of the UNP.
Having reported a statement with the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating the suspected cases of political victimization Thursday (10), he made these remarks to the media.
The former minister also pointed out that the UNP will soon be restored by a suitable leader.
