Parliament Insight: The Vote on Account, tabled by the Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in Parliament to approve government spending for the next four months, was passed without a vote last evening (28).
‘Resolution under paragraph (2 ) of Article 150 of the Constitution (appearing as item No. 1 of this day’s Order Paper) was adopted by the House today (28 August),’ said the Parliament.
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, as Finance Minister, introduced to Parliament on Thursday the Vote on Account for Rs. 1.3 Trillion to provide government services from 1 September 2020 to 31 December 2020, and the House discussed the resolution for two days.
