Sports News | Colombo: The National Sports Council has been appointed with new members to improve the sports sector in Sri Lanka.
At the invitation of Minister Namal Rajapaksa of Sports and Youth Affairs, the freshly-appointed Council members held their inaugural meeting today (20).
Former Sri Lankan cricket-captain Mahela Jayawardene chairs the 14-member committee.
It consists of 13 other experts in various fields who have contributed to the local and international revamping and rebirth of sport culture.
