Business News Sri Lanka: Pioneering ethical cosmetics and skin care manufacturer The Body Shop has amped up its ‘Love Your Body’ loyalty rewards programme during its semi-annual end of season sale, the UK-based company announced this week.

Love Your Body members will be rewarded with exclusive discounts up to 25% until 31 July, a significant increase from the previous 10% discount offered by The Body Shop under its loyalty scheme.

The Love Your Body programme was launched with the objective of fostering a deeper and more meaningful link between brand and customer that goes beyond a typical loyalty scheme. In addition to members’ only discounts and reward points, members are provided with special privileges and an opportunity to be part of something bigger. The Body Shop is deeply committed to its “Enrich Not Exploit” philosophy, and the company’s world-wide reward programme is an invitation for customers in Sri Lanka to play an important role in its global vision for an ethical beauty industry that’s free of cruelty.

Enriching people and the environment is central to The Body Shop’s core beliefs, and over the decades since its inception in 1976 the company has been recognised internationally for working fairly with farmers and suppliers as well as looking out for various communities with its Community Trade programme. The company has also been lauded for its commitment to never testing its ingredients or products on animals. With the Love Your Body loyalty programme, Sri Lankan customers, too, can play a part in this global initiative to restructure the beauty industry along ethical lines.

The Body Shop has also announced an end of season sale open to all customers in Sri Lanka, including for home deliveries, with discounts up to 50% on selected products across all categories. A buy-four-get-20%-off is also available store wide, with an additional 5% for Love Your Body members. Meanwhile, a 30% discount has been announced on all lip care products.

Priced at an annual fee of just Rs.1000, the Love Your Body member is entitled to 25% off all The Body Shop purchases until 31 July. Members will also be afforded access to loyalty benefits, first pickings at sales previews and new product launches, invitations to exclusive members-only events, as well as further discounts on promotions. Members will also receive a special 20% birthday discount. Members who purchase for over Rs 25,000 throughout the year will have their annual membership fee waived off on renewal for the next year, the company said.

The Body Shop invites customers to visit the company’s flagship store on Bagatale Road and outlets at Odel – Alexandra Place, Kandy City Centre and Colombo City Centre and avail the amazing deals. For doorstep delivery contact 011 5765656 (Colombo) or 081 2233008 (Kandy).
