Local News Sri Lanka: Under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) has introduced an online marketing programme under the ‘Yali Nagitimu Sri Lanka’ programme for students who obtained nine A’s at first attempt at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination.
The inaugural ceremony was held last Wednesday at the Ministry of Education under the patronage of Education Ministry Secretary N.H.M. Chitrananda and President of the SLIM Roshan Fernando. This year, 10,201 students are eligible for this programme.
A group of students who participated in the ceremony described the programme as a unique career opportunity and the President of the SLIM answered their queries on the content of the course.
Students who wish to join this programme can download applications from the website www.slim.lk or dial 0112 675000 between July 1 and July 15.
Secretary to the Ministry of Education Ranjith Chandrasekara, Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath Pujitha, officials from the Education Ministry and the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) were also present on the occasion.
