Local News: DIG Waruna Jayasundara has been appointed as the new Special Task Force Police Commander (STF), police spokesperson says.
Upon the transfer of DIG M.G.L. Gunathilaka, who held the post of STF Commander, to the Trincomalee Division, DIG Jayasundara, who was in charge of the Western Province (North) appointed as STF Commander.
He succeeds Senior DIG M.R. Latheef who retired to Sri Lanka Police after 41 years of service
