Local News: People living in areas where curfew is still in effect are only permitted to leave on certain days of the week on the basis of the last digits of their national identification numbers for important requirements, a statement released today by the Presidential Media Division said.
“This program was implemented with the intention of preventing congregation of people and no one can use this program to leave their homes in areas where curfew was relaxed,” the statement said. The statement said no permission is granted to anyone to enter or exit areas or villages that were considered to be high risk.
The last digit of the NIC is as follow:
Monday : No. 1 or 2 as the last digit
Tuesday : No. 3 or 4 as the last digit
Wednesday : No. 5 or 6 as the last digit
Thursday : No. 7 or 8 as the last digit
Friday : No. 9 or 0 as the last digit
To make these purchases, the general public is advised to choose the nearest outlet located within walking distance of their residences.
