Local News: The Election Secretariat held a meeting between the Election Commission and the leaders of the political parties who submitted nominations for the General Election yesterday (02).
Taking into account the prevailing health risks, the Commission had made a request to send one representative from each party.
This is the second time that the Election Commission and representatives of the political party met after it was declared that the General Election would be postponed to June 20 due to the local COVID-19 virus outbreak.
While it is announced that the numbers of the candidates will be allocated tomorrow for the upcoming General Election.
A spokesman for the Election Commission said that during the COVID-19 outbreak a guideline is to be provided on conducting rallies and public meetings.
