The President said that while there is room for any reasonable criticism, he expects all media organizations to engage in a media service that supports the country’s reputation and fulfills their responsibility towards the country.
Rajapaksa said the people elected him as the country’s president with a lot of expectations and hope at the last election. He vowed that priority will be given to increasing the efficiency of politicians and government officials, eradicating bribery and economic development.
