Local News Update: Rita Giuliana Mannella, Ambassador for the Republic of Italy in Sri Lanka, called to the Presidential Secretariat today (02) for President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The Ambassador to express her and the congratulations of her government to the President on his assumption to the high office said that her government expects to work in a broader partnership with Sri Lanka to move forward with a new vision.
He expressed her trust that Sri Lanka would move forward rapidly in all spheres, including under the president’s economic and social sphere, and pledged the fullest cooperation of her country to make this project a success.
A Royal Norwegian Embassy delegation in Sri Lanka led by its Ambassador Trine Jøranli Eskedal also met today with President Rajapaksa.
The delegation extended the Government of Norway’s good wishes and assured the President full support of their country.
