Postal voting ballot papers to issue on Oct 18

Local News from Sri Lanka: The Election commission stated that all have prepared for the postal elections in 2019. The certification of the postal voting lists takes place yesterday (15) and postal ballot papers will be released and distributed on 18 October 2019.
Postal elections will, therefore, take place on 31 October 2019 and 01 November 2019, for state institutions and armed forces. Postal voting of voters at District Secretariats, election offices, and the police will be carried out on 04.11.2019.
Officers that are not eligible to cast their vote in the district of where their office is located will be granted the opportunity to cast their vote on the 11/07/2019. on the 07/09/2019. On 25.10.2019, the official voting cards will be handed over for the 2019 Presidential Election.
On 03.11.2019, the special date for the distribution of polling cards is due and on 09.11.2019. Voters not obtaining their polling cards prior to 09.11.2019 can obtain them by checking identity via the postal office linked to the address recorded in the electoral register.
