Local News from Sri Lanka: The University Grants Commission (UGC) announced that all universities ‘ academic activities would begin from yesterday (14) after a temporary suspension of non-academic university employees ‘ trade union action. The UGC was officially told that the strike action of the university’s non-academic, which lasted for 33 consecutive days, came to a close.
Accordingly, from today all universities will be opened to educational activities and the related courses will be conducted. University vice-chancellors are given the opportunity to make decisions on exams, the UGC said. Meanwhile, all employees have been informed to report to work today, stated K. L. D.
