Business News from Sri Lanka: At this week’s September 2019 edition in Le Bourget, Paris, Texworld Paris, the undisputed leader in the supply of fabrics, components, trimmings and equipment for the clothing sector, will showcase six Sri Lankan garment manufacturers.
Under the umbrella of the Export Development Board (EDB), Sri Lanka exhibitors include Apparel Technologies, Daya Apparel, Harward Fashion, J.K Garments, JIA Moda and Kash Garments.
Sri Lanka also held a fashion show (catwalk) on Wednesday (18) showing Sri Lankan clothing manufacturers ‘ goods at the trade show.
Kash Garments Director Rohana Paranavithana said the fair was making excellent progress and they hoped to have excellent agreements as customers from Europe are visiting them.
A total of 1,799 exhibitors are participating in the September 2019 edition of Texworld Paris in combination with Apparel Sourcing and Leather world. For everyone engaged in developing fashion, the trade fair continues an outstanding event and constitutes a true hub for discovering inspiration and networking.
The show has currently registered more than 29,000 tourists from around the globe. The show stayed faithful to visitors from European nations, which is a nice reflection of the keen interest of Europeans in the exhibitors at both shows.
Texworld Paris showcases a worldwide variety of fashion products from Bangladesh, China, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Korea, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Pakistan.
Messe Frankfurt, the world’s biggest trade fair, congress and event organizer, said a increasing labor wear market has been launched since this year. The next Texworld / Apparel Sourcing will take place in Le Bourget, Paris from 10 to 13 February 2020, while African Sourcing and Fashion Week will take place in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia in November. In January 2020, Texworld / Apparel Sourcing USA will take place.
